commodorejohn 75.134.144.176 commodorejohn@gmail.com Battery troubles... I'm trying to replace the soldered-in battery on my MPS with a battery holder, as I've done for most of my other keyboards, but I'm having a lot of trouble getting it to take - I'm very afraid that the metal part of the hole for the positive terminal may have torn out with the old battery, although it seemed to come out without issue, because it refuses to make a connection even though the battery is good and my soldering seems to hold. Does anybody have any idea where the traces from the battery terminal go? It seems like it might just be easier to run a patch wire there, but I have no idea where "there" is... It is a really a shame that I have never been able to get a copy of the technical repair manual for the MPS. I think even Indiana Jones would be hard-pressed to track it down at this point. roberteau 98.74.183.46 Re: Battery troubles... I say ask at the e-mu emulator messageboard, or subscribe to the e-mu emax yahoo group, or the ensoniq mirage-net yahoo group. I'm at mirage-net since I got a mirage keyboard, and there's some really good electronics people that are there.
